SPOTLIGHT ON JOHN ROTHMANN

John Rothmann is a political and foreign policy consultant specializing in the United States, Middle East and the former Soviet Union. Mr. Rothmann received his B.A. and M.A. from Whittier College, and studied at Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Mr. Rothmann worked on the 1968 presidential campaign staff of Richard Nixon; served as Administrative Assistant to Senator Milton Marks and Field Representative for Senator Quentin Kopp, in San Francisco. Mr. Rothmann has been involved in a broad variety of political campaigns on local, state and national levels, and is a frequent lecturer on American politics and the presidency. Mr. Rothmann served as project consultant on the book Jews in America. He also hosts his own talk show on KGO radio, a local ABC affiliate.

HOW TO ATTEND ELDERHOSTEL AND HEAR JOHN TEACH:

  1. To enroll in a John Rothmann/Elderhostel program, contact the main Elderhostel office in Boston to enroll and pay. Elderhostel's toll-free number is 1-800-454-5768 OR 1-877-426-8056.
  2. You may also enroll through their website by clicking the button below. Then enter in the program number in the entry box, click "Submit," and the website should pull up information on the program and a registration link.
  3. Please note: Some programs listed on this page my be closed to registration because they are full. We advise you to call Elderhostel Headquarters to check the program's availibility before making plans. If a program is full you can have Elderhostel put you on the Waitlist, in case anyone drops out.
  4. NEW: As of November 2008, Bay Area Classic Learning now offers a commuter option at all of our Elderhostel programs. Commuter option includes attendance at all classes, one field trip (or two, depending on the particular program), and closing night entertainment. No meals are included in the tuition, however, commuters may order food separately from the hotel restaurant's menu. PLEASE REGISTER AND PAY TUITION VIA ELDERHOSTEL'S MAIN OFFICE AT 877-426-8056. They can tell you the tuition costs for each program. You may call the BACL office about the daily schedule of events one or two weeks before the program. Commuters who wish to attend only John Rothmann's classes must still pay the full commuter tuition.
